The deep ocean, untamed jungles, and the vastness of space have always been endless sources of inspiration for human imagination—and this model was born from that same sense of wonder. The Abandoned Submarine took four months to design, with the most time devoted to its iconic hatch door. We wanted it to feel real, mechanical, and alive. After six to seven different prototypes, the final design features a carefully engineered mechanism that produces a subtle clicking sound as the door opens and closes, echoing the feel of a heavy metal hatch deep beneath the sea.
